Promotional Effect of Pd Addition on the Catalytic Activity of Composite Pt-Pd/AlSBA-15–? Catalyst for Enhanced n-Heptane Hydroisomerization

Hierarchical AlSBA-15–zeolite materials were utilized as a supports for preparing hydroisomerization catalysts. Detailed consideration was given to: (i) the effect of zeolite type introduced into composites (where is ?, mordenite or ZSM-5) well (ii) promotion Pd addition. The showed higher activity in isomerization compared to Pt/AlSBA-15. enhanced efficiency explained by appropriate metallic and acidic function suitable transport properties. modification hydrogenating incorporation increases Pt-Pd/AlSBA-15–? catalyst. Over bimetallic Pt-Pd/AlSBA-15–?, high yields isomers (68 wt%) with respect 50 wt% control most promising catalyst allows improve research octane number from 0 74 value.
